For a replacement HG guideway, the block designation alone is not enough. The rail profile, length, hole pattern, block quantity, preload and accuracy class all affect the assembly you receive.

The table below reproduces selected published HG Series reference values. WR is rail width, P is rail mounting-hole pitch, W is block width, L is block length and C is the dynamic load rating. Dimensions are in millimetres unless marked otherwise.

How do I identify the right HG replacement?
Start with the marking on the old block and the rail drawing. Confirm whether the machine uses a high, low or flanged carriage, because blocks with the same nominal rail size can have different mounting envelopes. Then check the complete suffix, rail length, mounting orientation and number of blocks per rail.
- Full block and rail codes, including every visible suffix.
- Rail length, hole layout and block quantity per rail.
- Machine drawing, mounting height, block footprint and lubrication access.
- Required preload, accuracy class and operating load if specified by the machine builder.
A 20 mm rail width does not make every size-20 assembly interchangeable. Use the manufacturer drawing as the final fitment reference.
